Usual suspects

good shout.

Agreed, though horses for courses to a degree, we have dropped far too many points this season by being too cautious, some of us have felt for quite a while that if we play to our attacking strengths we will win many more games and points over the course of a season than if we sit tight, if we sit back at Anfield and dont get the result than questions will be asked, if we sit tight and get the three points then all will be well (for now at least), but we have the firepower to beat all sides in this league if we attack. Let them worry about US rather than us worry about them which has (IMHO) been our failing too often.

You're right. If we don't get 114 points next season, with a record number of goals, whilst playing a blend football likened to the present Barca side and the Brazil side of the seventies, then i'll stop watching.

So you dont think we have the firepower attacking to beat sides?
Or do you think we were right to sit back against sides at home?
I want to see City play the game in an open honest and attacking style, and with the players we have I feel that we are capable of doing this, if you feel we are not, then that is your opinion, i disagree.

It's fair to say that so far he has deserved the stick he's got. That said though, it's obvious he has been spoken too and if performances and on-pitch attitude continues like it was yesterday, he will win the doubters, (of which I am one), round. Still got alot to do though, but the right path appears to have been put infront of him, lets just hope he stays on it.

Fair enough, but not lets be forcing him to fuckin smile all the time. Reminds me of Gordon Brown.

Shall I light the sky blue touch paper then?

He had an average game yesterday, did OK but not what I would expect from a £24m purchase destined to be one of the best players in the world.

And forgive me for not getting aroused by his ability to NOT get booked or sent off.

He has however had very much worse games so a small step in the right direction.

I hope that helps? ;-)

Anyone know why the usual negative Boo and Mario haters are missing today?

Why because he did not pick up a card - his performance was much much better but lets see what happens over the rest of the season

Should I extinguish it by saying he puts the shits up any team playing against him as they know he can ruin them with a flash of brilliance? Balo is a tour de force which is going to be unleashed...plenty of what he did yesterday suggests that. Lets hope it happens in the semi.

And well done to Roberto for his patient handling of the lad, especially as his man-management skills have been openly questioned in the media and on here.

Can't agree with you here, if anything Bob's handling of him has been piss poor.

Taken until April before he puts a shift in, long may it continue though.
How do you know? You're a coach are you with inside knowledge of the relationship between manager and player?

Sorry for being pedantic but was the fee we paid for him not reported as £22.5 million?
