Watching the 2012 derby at our place on SS1.. I think this is the one where van persie scores in the last minute... watched it in Vietnam in a bar full of reds.. bad times

United will have a lot of the ball tonight but Pep is meticulous so he would have planned for that. He does surprise with his tactics a lot and tonight he has surprised with his line-up, so Lord knows what his match strategy is. My best guess is to contain them and restrict the quality of their chances, hit on the break with the flexibility to change it round (with substitutions) and take the game to them late on if necessary. But what the hell do I know?

win win situation

we have clearly put a very weak team (especially in the area that pep says is the most crucial - midfield....fernando, garcia along with navas are 3 players that would never ever normally start this game) - so we are clearly underdogs and including then a kid on at left back potentially against their most potent attacking player in either pogba/rashford. No one can suggest that we are not the under dogs here by a long margin

Win it and its a huge embarrassment for a virtually full strength utd and more so for Jose...he would be under huge pressure if he doesn't win this.

Pep using it as another chance to see what some of the fringe players do in his style pf play...i think we already know the answer with fernando who struggles. but Nolito is clearly playing a different role tonight as well and a chance to see how the young lad does at fullback..is he ready to step up next season? this could be answered a little tonight. And nacho gets to lead the line again.

The other concern for me however is if Caballero gets injured then it will be Angus Gunn vs barca as Bravo is suspended....and the other concern with Willy is he is that he always looks shaky except on anything but penalties

Looking at he line up I wonder if we are playing not he counter cause with navas and sane we have a hell of a lot of pace (pity navas shooting/crossing and decision making is shit!)

Central midfield is a concern but then it's a concern in the squad and not just tonight.

Poor Fernando might be in for a battering.

To be honest I'll be sweating through the first 20 minutes. But if we get to half time level, with Aguero, Sterling and Dinho on the bench I'll be 20x more optimistic. We have gamechangers. They have Ashley Young. The pressure will be getting to United by then. But Fernando vs Pogba fills me with dread.

My only disappointment is not seeing Fellaini start :(
Pretty much as I see it, they'll be hoping to blow us away quickly. If we can get to 60 minutes level or just a goal behind then no reason why we can't get the win.
