Again its an early Kick-Off so don't get caught out.
Sad news now that both Hempo and VIv are recuperating from Knee Surgery.
The club have been keeping cards very close to their chest. I know before any surgical intervention or proper exploratory clinical study it's hard to be definitive over injury type but both have had interventions now so the nature and type of injury and approximate recovery time should be known. I would have expected if it was ACL or medial in either case they would have announced it so may be some annoying meniscus tears (often the byproduct of ACL's but sometimes random occurrences). In both cases they are part of our starting 11 so are both big misses. WIshing them both a healthy, speedy, injury free recovery. NOW we have to crack on without them.
Great that Blinkilde-Brown has got her first senior call up, she's developing nicely although still a bit raw.
Hoping Leia is ready for this one too as we've missed her calmness and ability to play out from the back.
There fans were a credit to them and their club at our place but their team is big and physical but nowhere near a match for us technically. They got away with roughing us up at our place so you can guess whats going to happen here. I'm expecting Yui to get kicked to fuck yet again with them following Chelseas lead and standing off us, marking her out of the game and allowing Kennedy possession, if Leia isn't fit, then pressing the first pass out of the back 4. Our midfield are going to have to work harder to move them around.
They looked weakest out wide in their full back positions and hopefully we can get wide players driving at their goal line or into their area. A job for Mary and Auba as clearly Chloe isnt getting a game as somethings gone on Taylor won't admit to.
Will be another tough encounter, hopefully Shaw's put her boots on the correct feet this time.
