V Festival - Camping?

Just wondered if anybody knew of anywhere close to Weston Park where i could camp the night before the campsite opens on the Friday, so in theory planning on camping Thursday night just to make a long weekend of it really.

Any help/experience would be much appreciated!

Also, best drinks to take guys, cba with 24 cans of lager on a fecking train but then again...

I've never gone down the night before but Weston Park is near to a load of farms. you could perhaps ask one of the farmers if you could use their land for the night. As for drinks, we just took loads of beers, it's a ball ache but worth it.

Get a makeshift trolley to wheel your beers around on. You're not supposed to take glass with you but you can sneak vodka in and mix it with cold bottles of pop from the stalls at £2 a time!

V did a cold beer amnesty a few years back. You could exchange your warm cans for cold ones.
