So we buy Rodwell, immediately replace him, and tell Barry, Nige and Milner to do what?

Add to what Sam has said, with the complete difference in position.

De jongs leaving, milner is never played in the middle and I'm not convinced rodwell is experienced enough or good enough for certain games. (not that I would have bought Rodwell to start with).
So that leaves Barry who's injuured and yaya who's off to ACON's
Source?

And by that logic, in January we will be playing with just one in the middle of midfield...

No to VDV, just no.

Yet you wanted RVP..

Again OP, who would you play him ahead of?

Rodwell.

Rodwell is young, verry good prospect, cover for Barry.
Why Milner in that sintence? He is versatile, good sub for the right side.

Because his best position is in the middle of midfield, why he doesn't play there more often? I don't know

Hence the reason we were trying to buy De Rossi.

As for De Jong, he's in the last year of his contract and won't sign a new one.
It's been HEAVERLY suggested numerous times that he's off for 5M.

VDV is not a cm he plays of the striker we have a number of players who can already play there, we need a deep lying playmaker.

So VDV is an alternative to De Rossi...

Do you watch football?

Also, you can't state that Nige is leaving for a fact when you don't know.

not really bothered about VDV but would be crushed if NDJ left- the guy,s wonderful imo...

You do know Van De Vaart is practically a striker?

He is most effective playing behind a single striker. With Tevez, Aguero, Balotelli and Dzeko to choose from I can never see us playing many games with just the 1 up top. Good player, just not for us.

No thanks.....strikes me as not 100% fit at times and maybe has an attitude to go with it....it would be interesting to know how many times he was substituted last season......also if he ain't good enough for Spurs he is know where near what we require....couldn't lace Silva, Nasri, Yaya, Tevez, Agureo, Ballotelli boots.......not good enough

City are well stocked in attacking midfielders, Rafa can play the 2 in midfield like he did against Portugal where he did a decent job with a fantastic goal and a shot which hit the crossbar.

van der Vaart is very talented but I wouldn't want him anywhere near CIty.

Spurs fans should be very worried at AVB's statement that he is happy to have Kane, Defoe and Adebayor.

Talented player but has an atrocious attitude problem from what I've seen. Like Nani, he clearly thinks he's a world beater deserving of total and undying admiration, when in reality he's largely invisible for apart from a lucky shot or two over a season.

If he's that good why does he warm the bench for Holland?

No idea, Shocking decision personally as Rafa looked Holland's best player against Portugal when he started.
