To be fair, without a wider view, it is actually difficult to tell if that does show him to be clearly onside given the Coventry attacker was actually stepping away from the United goal and the United player was stepping toward it when the ball was played. That means the defender could be much closer to the United goal by the time the attacker gets on the passed ball.

Still, even so, I do think the video highlights the issues with the current offside assessment system (namely, how it can be manipulated in instances of very tight decisions).

try and pause it on about 5 seconds the United is so far in front of the Coventry player

Seems i live rent free in your head, lol. You still refuse to give me your opinion on yesterdays var effort

yet you're the one that tags me in here for my views all the time...

I'll answer to those that will acknowledge a different view.

I did try to step frame through it and the narrow view makes it difficult to use the video as conclusive proof. The opposite motion of the players involved really does complicate things.

But I still maintain the Conventry player could have actually been onside and the current offside system is not accurate enough to determine he was off, so he should have been ruled onside.

And that’s not just because of the limitations of the assessment system, but also because by the letter of the law he should have been given the advantage.

As usual you wont answer to bad decisions . Cu when you are here , on another teams forum, seconds after they make a right decision again

No i don't, there's right decisions every fixture list, loads of them. i rarely come on here and point them all out.
The odd one deserves to be highlighted and why not ? it's a VAR thread and like all threads it's good to have balance. unless you're only happy to exist in a echo chamber of 'its all corrupt' 'watch them screw us over' bla bla.

This proves my view on why VAR cheats, Line of sight and angles and the other side of the pitch view
Clearly well onside

You're not seeing the offside at the point the ball was played.

Wan-Bissaka is running back towards goal, while the Coventry player has held his run, and waits for the ball. By the time you see the play, Wan-Bissaka has run on well past the attacker.

That video shows just how hard it is for an assistant ref to get an offside right.

Not based on the current implementation of VAR it isn’t though, people have just decided now it is because it stopped Coventry from beating United. I’m fine with that, change the implementation then and increase the margins even more than they currently are if people want that.
You don't know that for certain tho do you? As far as I can see that's just your best guess as to how that offside was arrived at.

You haven't heard the audio, seen any slo mo video have you? So you are no more certain than I am.

I heard today that Atwell will officiate at the Euros this summer. Everyone on here especially the pro VAR mob are happy with that decision I guess?

So absolutely no accountability whatsoever for incompetence in PMGOL as we already knew.
