VAR Discussion Thread - 2023/24 | PL clubs to vote on whether to scrap VAR (pg413)

Would you want VAR scrapped?

VAR ruined the first goal for me. Lingering doubt stopped me fully celebrating. Good job by you technology. Cunts.

The fact that people follow that account thinking that this highly flawed method of “checking” VAR decisions is legitimate just shows how badly the education system has failed so many across multiple countries, but especially in England.

The current VAR system is flawed, as well, but this method makes it look like a supercomputer guiding a lander to the surface of the moon.

Premier League clubs to vote on

scrapping VAR from next season

The problem is how long they are taking to make decisions.
Let's not forget some of the absolute howlers that weren't given before VAR. Remember the dippers offside was it milner at west ham when he was stood next to the linesman.
Getting the better offside technology instead of the stupid lines being drawn will help.
Putting the total decision back onto the referees is playing into Howard Webb red shirt bias.

Premier League clubs will vote on whether to scrap video assistant referees (VAR) from next season at their annual general meeting next month.

Wolves have formally submitted a resolution to the Premier League which will trigger a vote when the 20 member clubs meet in Harrogate on 6 June.

The club said VAR was introduced "in good faith" but has led to "numerous unintended negative consequences that are damaging the relationship between fans and football".

Red tops probably in favour but Dont think this will pass tbh. Already planning on Bringing in semi auto offsides to speed it up
