Var would not have interfered in any of those decisions.
I can see who has given you a like, the biggest wum on this thread.
If you ignore offsides, when does Var get involved? It very rarely goes against a decision made on the pitch.
The foul leading up to the goal, no foul he fell over, good call.
The penalty - the ref saw it and played the advantage, the shot hit the post so a clear advantage, no need to overturn and bring play back.
The foul on Marmoush, not a clear and obvious error to book him.

This is what we get week in week out.
Var watched Van Dyke forearm a player and didn't intervene so why would they have done today ?

If VAR intervenes it's killing the game , If it doesn't intervene you go mad.
Can't really win can it ?

I just wish we had more weekends without it to watch you squirm away every ridiculous calls, Man Utd goal clearly offside - given, Newcastle goal which never crossed the line, leyton orient clear red and probably be more to come tomorrow.

Only for games held at teams playing in the top 2 divisions. The FA are running different rules for the same competition, as they will be in the next round, when VAR is back……..

There’s no doubt it’s needed going by this weekends shambles. But 1000% better than it is now. No one can honestly say that ANY of the shit decisions today would have been overturned - bar the goal line one which is black and white. Serious question for me is has VAR de-skilled the refs? They don’t seem to be used to making decisions that were bread and butter 10 years ago

The rags one was ridiculous and Var would hopefully have overturned it but the Newcastle goal was one for goal line technology not var..but how could the lino give it as a goal from the position he was in..twat wasn't even level with the goal he was yards behind play.
I doubt var would have recommended a red card in our game even though it should have been one...even the penalty we should have been given wouldn't have been overturned by var..

It's easy to forget but officials didn't spot blatant penalties, red cards etc. on a weekly basis - It's all that was ever discussed walking out the grounds and then on MOTD... hence why VAR was needed in the first place.
I always and still stick up for refs, the speed of the game, the play acting, the hostile crowds appealing for everything - It's such a big ask for just a ref and lino to spot everything correctly. They simply need help or we just all accept far bigger and more regular farcical decisions on a weekly basis.

Rugby seems to get most calls right, I know different pace and all…….how we still rely on the ref to blow the final whistle is madness in this day and age………use stadium clock

Just install the semi auto offside tech like they said they were doing , works well in the CL

Was watching rugby today and also highlights of India England in the cricket.
Several instances of where technology was used correctly by referees/umpires.
The cricket one is very good where an appeal can be made, incorrect first calls over ruled and players willing to accept the final decision . Similar in todays rugby.
In both sports the referees can explain the decision to the fans via microphones and TV screens.
Look at tomorrow nights superbowl and see how it should be fine.
The Premier league is a farce compared to other sports. Refeees , VAR officials and referees panel can't make up their mind on what are relatively a simple set of rules.

There's nothing worse than the beautiful game being stopped and everyone's just standing around twiddling their thumbs while some unknown nerd in an ivory tower makes a decision that changes the trajectory of the match.

How anyone thought this would be a good idea is beyond me. Football noobs brought this in who had no understanding of the nature of football. And how all these years later we're still stuck with the same crap, no one has the balls to take a stand against this monstrosity.
