VAR and the PiGMOL are far too focussed on the 'entertainment' angle' rather than the correct decision, and I guarantee the words 'spoil the game as a contest' were uttered in the VAR suite during the making of that decision.

The reason they provided for not giving the pen was that 'it was not a clear goal scoring chance' no shit as Henderson fucking batted the ball towards the corner flag. How the linesman didn't spot it in the first place is crazy. Henderson then went onto have a blinder of a game, standard

Ironic thing is that I'm sure var didn't send him off because they didn't want to ruin the spectacle of the game, but can anyone tell me that palace would have played any differently with 10 men than 11?
The game wouldn't have changed at all.

They would have been down to 10 men by then had the laws of the game been applied and who knows what would have unfolded thereafter. I was a fan of var but get to fuck with that reasoning. Offside was the correct decision given by var, the question still remains why wasnt the handball then.

Atwell is totally incompetent and him and his var team didn’t have the confidence to make the correct call as they felt the event/spectacle was bigger than the rules.

Lino has an unobstructed view of it. No way he needs VAR to tell him that was a deliberate goal saving handball by the keeper. He should have flagged for the foul, but as I said earlier, the officials act differently because of VAR.
