It seems a great idea for the short term but overtime it will not work because every team will not benefit from the technology

Ah bless. Thanks for being embarrassed for me but you shouldnt have. Your patronising tone has been a feature of all your responses. Today changes nothing. Do you really think i believe that officials dont make mistakes. Because we have had mistakes against us today I should change my position. I agree with Shearer . Factual decisions such as offsides are fine for VAR. It will not stop red card tackles nor will it ensure they get punished. I would like to think today was clearcut but i wouldn't put my mortgage on it. Additionally lets just say Sane had been a toe offside for the Silva goal, was he intefering? Should it have been disallowed? Obviously the Ref thought he was. VAR would not change that (wrong) judgement call. So you best give up. Enjoy spoiling the flow of the game, the tedious pressure on refs, game playing, never celebrating a goal until it has been VARed. Sounds dull to me but at least the obsesives will think it is fair (it wont be fairly applied and will still favour the vested interests).

If you talk shite expect it. I'm aware officials make mistakes. When have I ever said they don't. That's right, I haven't. VAR fixes it. How u can't see it is embarrassing for you... today was clear cut all over. To say otherwise just makes you look a bigger idiot.

Sane wasn’t offside. All of this “let’s just say” shit, if my Auntie had bollocks and all that.

He said at half time it should only be used for factual decisions. When did he say VAR should be used for red cards unless he has a flexible definition of 'factual' (which is possible - he is not the brightest...)
