VAR Rules 2020/21

So long as the rags and dippers benefit from VAR there will be no chance of it being removed - too useful a weapon to get the required outcomes.

i think so ?
they hold a lot of power over 8 other clubs as well. we have seen with the FFP letter to uefa
the premier league money pot that is handed each season is on the back of united and liverpool being number one and two clubs in tv money revenue. they the smaller club need united and liverpool and they know it ?

VAR to be voted out would take a major change and backing by all the clubs ? so like i said we know at least 9 or 10 that would back the 2 elite clubs in england so 12 clubs yes votes to keep VAR vs 8 clubs no votes for VAR ?

Do you think VAR has been brought in to make sure the advantages go to who they want to win trophies? Remember it was only goal line technology at first! I did warn that it was the start of a slippery slope! It may be bent now because goal line technology was not opinion it was fact. That may have upset them, no control you see.

It wasn’t supposed to be like that. FFP was initially designed to stop clubs going bust due to huge debt from overspending without having the requisite funds to cover it. Just like FFP, VAR was used by certain entities as an opportunity for their own good, the recent blackmail strategy from the Rags and Dippers only cements my thoughts that they are influencing outcomes of the PL.

As we all love football it’s very hard to say that the game has been corrupted and we now find ourselves in a position where some see the league going the same way as WWE. But, in reality, that’s where we are.

VAR is just another tool to manipulate the outcome of events, but that isn’t the major game changer, it‘s just added to the PLs powers when bowing to commercial pressures.

When you are a paid by the piper, you have to play to their tune.

On ssn ref watch for the last 12 months dermot Gallagher has said any contact in the box runs the risk of it being a pen, always says it when Salah and Fernandez go down, but when it's against the scouse and rags he says there is not enough contact to go down so not a pen, same with handball too close or players arms down by the side , in favour of the scouse and rags, reporter Rob wootton just gives a daft grin and doesn't pull him up in case he gets 50,000 death threats.

When they first aired 'Ref Watch' it sounded like it would be an interesting programme, helping to bring some clarity and insight (and informed, impartial debate) into the more contentious decisions from the weekend matches. In reality, it's probably the biggest waste of 30 minutes known to mankind. The 'impartial' panel, comprising Dermott Gallagher, Stephen Warnock (ex Liverpool) and Sue Scott (Scouser) predictably fail to see anything amiss with any decision that favours Liverpool (and God knows, there's enough of them). As for Rob Wootton, he clearly knows the score and takes the piss whenever it can be deemed acceptable but he's getting well paid for it and, ultimately, toes the Sky party line.
