i'm not really here
or plain stupid,i think very clever here is why-

unknown to us we have been tested twice by the club to see what our strengths are with our under 18 support (juniors) and passed with flying colours this being hamberg and wigan,the club know full well that we will bring our kids in the droves providing one thing 'the price is right' all anyone has to do is look around and there are plenty of kids all over the stands
now to my point the club introduce the entire north stand as the family stand at the prices quoted today and with future marketing this stand will be sold out to family members for next season so then they introduce a waiting list for this section,a year later there are say 300 kids now to old to sit in this section so along with there familys the total figure is nearer to 1000 they get re located and another 1000 are drafted in off the waiting list this increasing our gate by 1000 per season and hooking the kids on city
 
Great job Mr Cook and keep up the great work.

PS Cookie can you do anything about all these drama queens we seem to have on here recently? ;)
 
your forgetting, people have made good friends with people in the north stand, and have over the last couple of seasons have mainly decided where to stay. now people are going to be seperated and moved from their seat, only to pay more for a seat they had no real choice in going to. plus, there is a finite amount of room. if, as you say we keep drafting in kids every year, where will all these people who are now forced to move go? city had just got things right, then they mess it up
 
Great idea in principle.
a few questions..............
1) Where does everyone go at the age of 17, (Groups will get split up, and only crap seats will be left to relocate to). Lots will not re-new.
2) What happens when we play a lesser team in the cup on a school night. Not many will come.
3) The atmosphere will at that end will be awful (Squeeky kids as hard as they try sound crap).

IMO its a timebomb

1st of all it aint their seat its the clubs
2ndly im sure the club have a plan when we eventually start selling out the family section will get smaller and their be a waiting list to get into it

They build a larger stadium, its called sustainable growth. Planning for the future, today. They are also tapping into the support of young kids in Manchester that the rags are unable to attract to the swamp. The future is very much blue.

As for sitting next to your friends, if you stopped brining your flask and chatting to them, and started supporting the team, the club wouldn't have to re-name it The Library stand. Get a grip man.

1. Near sighted gloom. They are building a larger stadium.
2. Kids from Manchester will be there, if not the club can suspend the scheme for the night and other people have a chance to go.
3. If you think that, you haven't heard the current low hum of papers being folded, soup being drunk and picnic hampers being openend.

IMO it's a timebomb and it's brilliant forward thinking.

Don't be so melodramatic! Times change; sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst. When I was a boy I went to the match with my schoolmates; we stood on the Kippax, wherever we liked. Years later they brought in seats at Maine Road; we had no choice. By then my mates were not the ones I'd been to school with, but people I'd been to college with, whom I worked with, mates of mates etc.

Then we moved from Maine Road. Some people I still see, some see rarely, some not at all. I sit with different mates again nowadays, for reasons I don't need to go into here, but I still see my other mates from Maine Road, both from the seats and, occasionally, from my boyhood days on the Kippax terraces.

The worst thing IMO is that young lads can't go to the match together these days, pay on the day and stand/sit together, like we did but, like I said, times change and you just get on with it and deal with it.

Maybe they should have a lads' block? That makes a lot of sense to me. Not every kid's got parents who will take them to a match.

Exactly. If you ever go to an away game, dont you talk to fellow Blues.
It doesnt mean you have to cut your arm off, you can still meet on the concourse and have a chat. You may even meet new friends.

Now That is a Great idea. a pay on the day block (Maybe get your ticket from the ticket office) But when lads say 14-17 can turn up with their mates on the day. First come first served

Do you not think we have ALL had to move around over the years. We have moved stadium if you hadn't noticed. Over the years, because of talking to people around me, every fortnight or so, i have built up a large number of people i know and say hello to, both at away grounds and in my personal life.
Think of it of meeting more blues and view it as something positive. Think a little bit louder next time.
 
Kenthe landlord isnt the libary arsenals old ground ,you disrepect the north stand ,i sit there because i have two young lads who will be the future fans of city and who will take there lads..do you think the prices should be based on how loud you sing or how much hot air you blow out ..

Your humour is as obvious as your bullshit...The atmosphere has declined at all prem grounds bar maybe stoke ,due to all seater stadiums not because there will be an extra 1000 or so kids ,get a grip .
