Villa fan found guilty of punching nine year old City fan at Cup Final

What was his defence, if any, he gave for such a despicable act? I can't see any being justified, even if he said he went to hit the dad, missed and hit the kid, it's still a shitehouse trick attacking a man with his child.

If he had received a custodial, lost his job and genuinely apologised that would be that, but so far none of these things have happened. As far as I'm aware he hasn't even issued an apology.

If I walk passed a school and punched some random kid,
I would be charged with ABH or GBH
Depending on the injury caused, and deffiently not got of with a slapped wrist.
Suppose he told the judge/magistrate he was pissed or on drugs that day, which shouldn't fking matter you assaulted a fking 9yr old kid, you fking pussy..
 
Although they might have done (I havent seen it if so), Villa could make it clear he is no longer welcome when fans are allowed back in. They could also offer the lad and his dad the VIP treatment next time we play there. That would be good PR for the club, I'm not aware of any official comment from AVFC but may have missed it.
