I saw a number of adults who should have known better get put in their place after trying to be obnoxious bullies. Predictably, they were worse after the game.

I remember when the away fans were housed in the north stand a few seasons, these wankers turned up boxing day and caused no end of mither, and any time I have been to villa park or met a group always been obnoxious pricks

The issue for these fans now is that we don't overspend, we balance our books, and have more money to spend because we go deep in all competitions and generally win one or two of them.

Even worse, all the taunts from the early years of the takeover don't really work. Young Argentinian lads who dreamed of Aguero come here. If you want to noticeably improve as a player you come here. If you want to win trophies you come here.

There isn't a club in the league who wouldn't of spent that sort of money on Phillips, so why is here and not at Spurs or United or Villa?

Villa fans were cunts about and with us years before the take over, Gaz Baz just sent them over the edge.

Not all the dislike of us stems from the takeover or our success, there is some hostility from a few clubs fans that have been there for a long while, spurs and boro come to mind seemed to have issues with us and of course our falling out with millwall for a bit :-)

Chalk 'n cheese, jim. Travelled back from Wembley Park on the tube with a few Watford fans. They were far more pragmatic about the game than I would have been. Thankfully, I never shared a carriage with any Villa fans.

But it seems that some fans cannot see that most players would want to improve themselves as footballers, and who would turn down the chance of being coached by Guardiola? Perhaps they have followed Villa long enough to see that ambition has vanished out of their lives.

I've been to Villa Park three times and everytime I hated it (bar the result) their fans acted like twats. You go to other grounds and pubs before hand and could end up chatting to opposition fans and they are sound just a football chat with no bullshit. Villa fans on all occasions were morons. I know every club has their fair share of arseholes and I'm sure Villa fans have numerous fans that are bang on. Maybe I just bumped into the wrong people on those days.

For that reason I don't like them simply because I've failed to meet any good ones.

This is true. I have got family and friends in the West Midlands (mostly West Brom fans). And they have told me for years that the Villa fans are terrible. Arrogant and self-entitled, the equivalent of LFC, MUFC and Arsenal in their attitudes. I used to think that criticism was a bit overblown but in recent seasons (especially at Wembley) I have seen it with my own eyes. Villa used to be an ok fanbase but it all changed when we had foreign investment. Is there a racial dimension to it? Funnily enough I have had few problems with Birmingham City fans who used to have an horrific reputation. At least they are not arrogant.

100% this. All I ever got off them was European Cup this European Cup that along with Oil Money, Ruining Football, Shit Fanbase ect ect ect
Constantly saying stuff to get a reaction so they can have a punch up, That's the impression I got off them.

No time for them at all. Hate them even more now they've Slippy in charge.
