Villa (H) Post Match Thread

Anyone seen or not the Ronaldo incident(edited to correct my error ) last night.I was amazed that our goal was allowed to stand and this is why. I know the LOTG state it was a correct decision but how many of us knew that until Walton's grovelling explanation of the the decision was correct ? I bet not many .VAR guys in the van were certainly more clued up and switched on than us match going/armchair experts .Be honest with yourself

There's no issue with that one either, the first man headed it against the back of his own players head.

Whether we knew the rules or not is immaterial, the ref, assistant ref & the VAR people knew them.

Edit: was it not given then?

A good result against a decent well organised team. Nice to see us score a penalty at last. If in doubt boot it straight down the middle!

In the clear light of day and the offside law staring us in the face with its carefully crafted black and white phrases, is there anyone still calling offside? Any pro or ex-pro still quoting offside must, one, not be able to read, two, incapable of understanding what has been explained, or three, hasn't had it explained and suffers from never understanding it in the first place. Where's CamelGob this morning?
I’d add number four, so biased and desperate for City to drop points that your emotions got the better of you and you were unable to give an honest assessment even when the relevant law was explained to you 17 times. Camelgob and most of the media fall into category four.

Is there a more snide twat in the Premier League than Grealish? He managed to put both Walker and KDB out of the game and wasn't even penalised for the foul on Walker.

A couple of seasons ago against City he was booked for a 'tactical foul' (although the commentator didn't call it that) and later carried out another 5 similar tactical fouls without getting a second yellow or even a straight red for 'persistent fouling'. Smith eventually subbed him because even he realised Grealish was living a charmed life.
