Villa (H) Post Match Thread

Salty tears from CamelGob, he's been read the rules and had it explained but still thinks it's a terrible decision. Ex-Ref would've disallowed the first goal if he was reffing but then after reading the rules understands that it's a goal. And we wonder why we're often shafted by the refs.

Anyway, tough win, missed a bag full of scrambled efforts, eventually the pressure we applied paid off.

We found out that Villa are a bunch of snide divers and wingers and that Grealish can't be carded.

Happy days.

Could do with a smoke after that but my supply lines have dried up. :(:
Cant believe they (or paying customers) pay money to that Walton. He is a joke every game

It’s not Rodri’s fault at all.

But Mings should be fully entitled to turn towards his own goal without interference from an offside player.

The moment Rodri prevents Mings from doing so he is interfering with play.
Sorry mate but that’s rubbish. It’s not Rhodris fault that he’d chased a through ball and that Ming decided to turn towards him, if Mings doesn’t know the rules then he’s an idiot.

How strong is our Phil now ?

Sure he is an exceptional talent, one of best players, destined for greatness.

I have seen him out muscling some big powerful opposition players lately.

You think back to the young lad who was knocked off the Ball.

Them days are gone.

He is is going to be the backbone of the England team one day.

Then the law is bollocks, and yes this board would have been full of people going off their tits about it.

Kid yourself otherwise if you must.

can i add that city last season lost out in the champions league to a goal that was pretty much in the same sort of thing ? when a player was offside blocking a city player but he jump and open his legs letting the ball run on for them to score ??? BT-sports panel never once backed Manchester city in saying it should be given as offside

Doesn't mean it right. But on the other hand, what's the better way? I don't know. So we should accept it until having a better way.

On another thought, actually, people only make effort to make rules better when there's a lot of complaints, so... complain or not, it's all good!
It was a good goal. Mings had two choices. He could have cleared the ball or he could have let Rodri play it first (ruling him offside). He made the worst decision: he chested it down and then kicked it, playing Rodri onside. How many times have you seen a defender miscontrol a pass and let it run to an attacking player who scores. FFS it's a goal all day long. This has always been the rule.
