Villa (H) Post Match Thread

Away from the ball.

It really is quite simple, you make a move towards the ball it’s interfering with play.
If the Villa player has his back to him and his control and subsequent touch aren’t affected, Rodri’s not interfering with play until he does the tackle by which point he’s onside. We’re probably not going to agree on this but I didn’t see a problem.

Thought Bernardo and Sterling were crap again tonight. Bernardo took his goal beautifully and only he scores that goal in our team, but overall he was off the pace again.

Also credit to Villa for trying to play. They're full of diving pricks who are dirty too but nonetheless credit to them.

It's not his fault Mings turned towards his own goal

It’s not Rodri’s fault at all.

But Mings should be fully entitled to turn towards his own goal without interference from an offside player.

The moment Rodri prevents Mings from doing so he is interfering with play.

Bloody outstanding win. Play like that for the rest of the season and we will coast home as champions.

We do need a goalscorer though. Literally anybody that could put these chances away. Costa for 6 months. Giroud for a year or Ings longer term. I'd have a good look at all 3

Not our clinical best.........but great effort and 3 wonderful points and top of the fucking league!!!

The first goal was very generous given Rodri was offside, but fuck it.....we deserved some luck.

Now come on Fulham,Tosin defend like you life depends on it!

MOTM - Bernardo,but that's debateable give 3 or 4 other brilliant performances.
Rodri wasn't offside once Mings played the ball.
They tried to run the clock down the whole game so fck em
