Vincent Kompany

I might get a bit of flack for this but am I the only one who doesn't really want Vincent to stay at the back? I personally think his calmness and discipline is great in midfield and although I'm happy for him to stay next to Lescott until May, I definitely want to see him bossing the middle of the park come the start of next season. He hasn't even been outstanding in the last few games; he's merely held his position, something Toure seems incapable of doing. Little things make the difference.

sorry but kompany is and always will be a centre half with the ability to fill in in midfield when required, get used to it as he and lescott are the best centre halves at the club

have to say that i've always been a little worried by kompany at centreback, i thought his reactions were a little suspect. but i have to say that i've changed my opinion completely after his appearances there in 2010. i do now realise that he's a quality cb.

Phil Jagielka (sp) made Lescott look a good player, he needs someone keeping him in position etc, I think Kompany does this very well so for me the partnership should continue...also Toure is shit ...

Personally used to prefer him playing in midfield but hes doing a great job in defence!

Vinnnie has been superb this season and is my favourite player

He's much better at Centre Back than in midfield. His passing is good for a defender but not great for a midfielder. The only way he could play in midfield is if he sat in front of the back 4 but we have enough of them already.

Big VK has made a world of difference to the defence

if he had played throughout the season we wouldn't be worrying about 4th, we'd be in the chase for the top place

Its always interesting when a partnership is stumbled upon as VK and JL. from what i have seen they are the best partnership i have seen in a long time. People always talk about bringing this world class centre back in , then another named, could it just be possible we have the partnership to take us forward cuz i would trust those 2 at any level. I am not a huge Toure fan but i think he has looked better since his return.
