IF they are both unfit it's a massive blow and deeply concerning.
Vinny's absence is what killed our momentum in the last two games. Without him the centre halves keep just looking for the easiest release option, meaning the ball's just rolling along the back line. Vinny's no Silva, but he will pick out better passers like Silva or Barry, and he'll do it quickly, getting us on the front foot.
I'm dreading Kolo v Drogba and Sturridge.

If Kolo and Savic are playing then De Jong must play to give them some much needed protection and give Yaya Toure the license to push further forward to put pressure on Essien. I would also play Milner in this game for his tireless work rate but he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth as far as the first eleven team sheet is concerned. Johnno playing would give Ashley Cole the day off in my books.

Zabs is further off being fit than either Lescott or Kompany I believe.
Absolutely shocking time for us to lose 3 of our defenders to injury. Putting Savic in there against potentially Drogba is a scary thought. In fact a Kolo Toure and Savic centre half pairing screams NO CLEAN SHEET to me which puts pressure on the strikers to score at least 2.
