I've tried a few times now contacting the club and it always falls on deaf ears.
Virgin Trains lose their franchise on the 7th December and therefore I assume the 20% discount that massively helps southern based blues and us, northerners for the london games will go with it.
Has anyone heard anything if that is the case or if there are any plans for the new operator to take this on?
 
I don't think we, as punters, will see much, if any difference. The trains and staff are the same, albeit new livery and uniforms. The train schedule will run pretty much as it is now along the same routes. The only real change will be at the top board level. I reckon the discount will still be running with First Trenitalia as it was with Virgin.
 
I've been told by Virgin's partnership manager that the scheme will continue under Avanti West Coast (the brand name for the new First Trenitalia operation) until March 31st 2020.
