Visiting Manchester

order of preference i'd go for

1. Manchester Museum (maybe ring them up if there's a wedding reception beforehand which would block out the t rex gallery.

2. Football Museum

3. MOSI but I forgot any exceptional exhibits last i was there.

Go to old trafford and have a look at that as museum as well (just dont ask why there are no white roses), and make sure when you leave you go straight back to the tram, dont even look down the hill, it would make you sick. (sadly there will be no game on as they are at Lords on the Sunday)

where are you staying OP? four of us coming over on the saturday night, staying in Sachas, and I intend to go to the football museum on the monday to abuse one of the staff if he is working ;-)

Hi,
I'm coming over from Belfast for last game of the season with my 14yr old son and arriving on the Saturday morning. My question is, Is the Museum of Science & Industry worth a visit? if not any recommendations to occupy the Saturday for us? Done the stadium tour about four years ago, should I do that again?

Cheers in advance,
Johnny

Get the train to Glossop then a bus to Mossley

if you like shopping try Stalybridge, they have great muffins

Yes, there's loads of big baps in Stalybridge

Why would you go to Glossop from Manchester, then go to Mossley?

It doesn't make sense Kev.

Stalyvegas is a good shout however,..... no visit to England is complete until you have seen The Huddersfield narrow canal and the statue of Jack Judge, who wrote "It's a long way to tickle Mary", and first performed it in Stalybridge in 1912.
