Remember this? Is it still going? I had the Profanisaurus sent to me a while back of a mate. Funny as. Miss the mag though. Big Vern, Sid the sexist, buster gonad and the funny ads it had.
    Anyone used to get this?

I used to get it years ago _ Spoilt Bastard, Buster Gonad, Roger Irrelivant, Big Vern, Roger Mellie, Student Grant to name a few.

I seem to remember the owners sold it and it went downhill from there. It could have been, as is the case with South Park and Family Guy, that the shock value was wearing thin and they had to be more controversial than funny to get a reaction from readers.

Just googled it and they said it used to sell 1.2million copies of each issue. Now down to 75k.

Still going but not bought it for years. Black Bag the faithful border bin liner and Big Vern were ace. Used to work up in Newcastle when it was at its height and Biffa Bacon and his family weren't far from the norm up there and you can't go wrong with Top Tips.

Read it avidly as a kid, subscribed consistently in the late 90s-mid 00s. Its patchy form and rocketing cover price in the last few years has seen me fuck it off.

When I worked for the library service in Newcastle we had every single copy hardbound in Local Studies. I worked my way through the entire back catalogue and it used to be absolutely brilliant. Also met Simon Donald (co-creator) a number of times as he was a library regular.

    Favourite regular strips were

    Rude Kid

    Crap Jokes

Never really read it, but me uncle bought me an annual one Christmas years ago and it was well funny.

One draft bit I always remembered was and advert for a Fred West teddy. Not a clue why I found it so funny, but it just made me laugh.

    Found it.
