He was though....when ever we played united you wanted him to have the ball, as there was rarely any end product, and lots of united fans that I know didn't want him starting games as they felt the same.

Ronaldo at Weiss age had already played 90 games in the Premier League and Champions League and won rags's player of the season. Weiss has not even started a game yet.

Not quite. He'd played a couple of seasons & was doing ok but the chump's league was 2008 when he was about 23. Vlad doesn't turn 20 'til next month.

It's impossible to tell at this stage but the raw talent is there. Doubt if Vlad will ever get the goals Ronaldo does but he could become better at other aspects of the game to make up for it. He already has a much better work ethic & covers much more ground than Ronaldo & that allied to his exceptional ability gives him a different edge to his game. That was the biggest difference that made George best special compared to other flair players; he worked hard too rather than swanning around when the going got tough.

He looks like a fantastic talent, hopefully we've tied him down to a long term deal as it might get tough to keep him if he doesn't get much game time, especially as he's now an international player and is going to a world cup.

Its rly nice to read for me what u write about "Vladko" cuz he comes from my beautiful country -->Slovakia! The country like England couldn't even imagine what it is to wait for a good generation of footballers... We got passed to the South African Republic world championship and its not by the "old experienced" players but by Weiss, Miroslav Stoch, Martin Skrtel, check out our goalkeeper-->Jan Mucha also a great talent! We need players playing in the best league of the world! If u go in Bratislava(the capital) to any pub u can see people watching the premier league just to discuss (mainly while being angry) why doesn't Weiss play for ManC. Well, sry that i am writing so much , but i am a really very big football fan, i travel regulary to london for the football match and its hard not to express my feelings. See u on the World cup in Africa, we might wont win in a group anything but at least players like Vladko will show their qualities.

if ur really interested in watching videos, then check up this ---> the second video is vlado weiss he showed some nice passes against czech republic

Weiss was excellent last night, gave their left back an absolutely torrid time. He often picked the ball up with his back to goal and in little space but would create space for himself with his skill and end up running at their players

Still lacks a qualtiy end product but I thought he looked much more threatening and likely to punish them last nite

Welcome Kesto, just read your post and i wouldn't be to hard on your national team, Slovakia. Watching them in qualification has been a pleasure as they have a real attacking flair to their game. Also i believe Marik Hamsik in midfield is the heart of your team. That young lad also has alot of talent. I think Slovakia will progress into the knockout stages of the world cup with a bit of luck, and who knows what might happen from there.

when you come to london who do you watch?

the boy has pace, unbelievable skill but my problem with him at the moment is the fact he has no end product. i said it before he came on last night and i think he proved my point. if he sorts this out as he gets older then i can see a great great player in the making.

How does he have no end product when he set up a goal with a cross that Robben or Ribery would've been proud of? And also fizzed in a couple of crosses that were similar to the one above. Between the goalkeeper and the defensive line is the best place to put a cross, and its not Vladi's fault if nobody made the run to get on the end of them.

The end product can be improved, i agree, but that comes with experience, but dont knock him, he isn't the finished article yet, but when he is, i cant wait to see what we have.

Welcome Kesto.

There is a theory in England that a lot of coaches have that players need to be introduced gradually to the Premier League as to not do so would harm their development. I am in the oppositte camp that if you're good enough you're old ennough. But I'm not a coach!

Weiss is a talent. He causes problems to defenders and the end product will come. He's trying a little too hard to impress at the moment and rushing his final ball.

I'm sure you'll see a few starts this season from him. I hope so.
