VWs and Cornwall

Never got the whole VW camper thing, in fact I haven't ever got the camper or caravan of any kind thing.

Looked after an original split screen that had a Porsche engine and loads of other mods. Worth a fortune and drove like a bag of shite. Why anyone would spend all that money on one when you get a bit of a bed, a sink that you can only wash a couple of cups in and a cooker that is only useful for warming soup I will never understand.

Even after you have bought one you still have insurance, servicing etc and the cost of that only would pay for you to stay somewhere nice a few times with your own toilet and a full english made for you in the morning.

My thinking exactly but I still intend to hire one in the next few years and do the NC 500 thing with my navigator and the 2 dogs.....Having said that we looked at getting a few months back but ended up renting a cottage for 5 of us for longer and cheaper with non of the associated fuel, running and site costs.
