I am after a nice watch for myself, a proper watch.

Anyone any advice on which is best to go for, like tag, omega, breitling etc

Ta

I have a few nice watches, tend to go for Omega and also keep it to the classics.
Seamaster Pro and Speedmaster Pro both easily worth what I paid for them.

Used to work abroad a lot and always tried to get a nice watch with the hardship money, ah the good old days.

How much money you got?
Well i know a good one will set you back £3-4k

Can't you think of something better to spend 4k on? You can get nice watches for a fraction of the price.

Not got one myself but bought an Omega Constellation for my missus 5 years ago. Cost 4k (got a grand discount in Beaverbrooks just for asking) and according to the firm who serviced it last year, it's now worth 8k. Great investment but it's got to be the right watch imo as I reckon certain models won't gain value over time.
