I know i should be going on Sunday but for financial reasons i unfortunately cannot make it, so thinking of going into town, & am wondering if any1 else is going to town & where every1 will be watching as don't want to be in a pub full of rags!!. Thinking poss of Norwegian blue, great atmosphere for the final, or walkabout where they split u up, blue's on top floor, rags on bottom.

Haven't any of you got any shame? Posting on a City forum about watching the game in town on TV! It's people like you that continue to make us a laughing stock for United fans.

Incredible!

I have been watching city since the age of 4 (1965), held a season ticket from 1973 to 1987 without a break, (never missed a game home or away for 10 years during this time),been to Europe so many times i cant remember, went to wembley in 1969, 1976 & 1981,& 1999 also to the semi this year, so I believe I have done my share of supporting this fantastic club of ours over the years & will do over my remaining time on this earth (season ticket holder in east stand), so just because I am having a few financial difficulties at the moment & cannot make it to wembley on Sunday, do not judge me.

P.S, if your that concerned about myself & my partner not going on sunday I will accept your gracious offer of paying for us both (tickets, travel, beer & food) as you must earn more wages than I do. Thank you.

OK, you're a true City fan.

I think the beer and food is pushing it a bit as you would be drinking in town no doubt on Sunday but if you need help with tickets and travel pm me.

I paid more for a few beers, a bit of food and a taxi home on Friday night in town than the tickets and share of petrol will cost me on Sunday. That was a few after work, nothing silly. Take s few sandwiches and a few bottles of pop and its a trip to watch City for less than fifty quid. It can be that cheap. In fact I paid more tonight for two pasta meals with two drinks each in Gio Giorgio than I'll spend on Sunday.

courtyard is full of blues thats where im off.COME ON CITY!!

went in the courtyard three times last season to watch city away with 6-7 fellow blues I go to the match with we lost every game and we all decided the place is bad luck for our group, also it was always a 50/50 split of blues and rags although the derby day piss taking of them in the beer garden was good.

I few mates wan't a rag free zone and are edging towards Mary d's but I reckon the Eastland bar will be the place for us

oh and Mr Jolly just for you, I ain't going cause I have just got back from visiting relatives abroad and tickets were not on sale when I left. But paying for my season ticket, flights and other family commitments I decided that all those blues who didn't get semi & final tickets would have snapped them up while I was away and even though I would like to go, I would also like to pay me council tax on time and keep me electric on.

I'll be watching it on the TV at home, and will feel no shame whatsoever for doing so.

Thats right, only ever laughed at us for having armchair support, ycmiu, or could you?

I know many United fans that take the piss out of our empty seats, it's one of the few things they are right about and it pisses me off.

-- Thu Aug 04, 2011 4:14 am --

How much does your Sky subscription cost? Wouldn't you rather spend that money on a trip to Wembley to watch City?

I'll be down in London at the weekend and wondered if anyone knows a good pub to watch the game in (And don't all start going on about how i should watch it at wembley, you're all getting boring now)

So does anyone know a nice boozer in zones 1-2?

Not that it's any of your business, but I pay around £80 a month for Sky. Money isn't the reason behind my "choice" to watch the match at home.

Seven of us went to the semi and the final, there's nine of us going on Sunday, really looking forward to it!
For those who can't afford it or are on hols, i'm sure you'll be there in 'spirit'!
As for those worried about the Rags taking the piss out of our 'empty seats' well just remind them of their parade with the 'empty streets'!!!

Seriously?

So anyone who doesn't go on Sunday isn't a "proper" fan?

Incredible.
