Because sterling had a good game and won the penalty. Sterling was dodgy in the first 15-20 mins until the ball was swapped out. And pep told him to take it.

For sure, but in general the top strikers are always obsessive about their goal tallys. Guys like Lewa & Cavani can tell you their total goals off the top of their head. Anything counts for that golden boot.

But at least Sterling score it, & hopefully it'll put some confidence into him
