The only ones I feel sorry for are his sons. The eldest is now old enough to access social media. The kids in school could give him a hard time. He is also old enough to understand what this must be doing to his Mum and definitely old enough to know right from wrong and to realise what a stupid old man his father is.

The only sort of saving grace is that school is out for the summer, it’s a 9 day wonder and the furore might have calmed down by September.

Poor kids.

They are privately educated- different Term dates. Prep school term ended on 9th July.

Let’s examine the facts that we have so far.

A multi-millionaire in his mid 30s goes clubbing whilst his wife is on holiday with the kids.

He then gets an associate to invite three 21 year old girls to his private VIP booth.

He is photographed dancing closely with an unidentified woman with his hand on her backside.

He is videoed in broad daylight walking back to the budget hotel where the three girls are staying seemingly extremely drunk.

He then proceeds to drink himself into a stupor and is photographed slumped in a chair with empty beer and wine bottles strewn underneath.

The girls then photograph themselves performing ‘pranks’ with Rooney comatose in the chair. I haven’t seen anything to suggest they physically or sexually assault him.

The girls are putting the photos and videos on social media as they are taking them and whilst Rooney is still out of it so I cannot see the ‘blackmail’ angle his people are suggesting.

I’m struggling to see a victim here and the idea he has been ‘set up’ is ludicrous. What I can see is a horrible bastard who cannot accept responsibility for his own actions.

Unless it is a female who was photo'd comatose with guys around her making pranks about her. That would be abuse so I fail to see how this isnt. Sorry, I am all about equality. I do know he's a prick though, and shouldnt have gotten himself into that situation (Or is that victim blaming)?
