They'll have to do well to beat Given and our back four, our midfield is way stronger than theirs and we'll score.
Keep Rooney quiet and it's half the battle and hopefully Tevez will be fit to play some part at least.

winning against the rags is like winning BOTH fulham and westham. as the rags are top 6 contenders, if we win we get 3 points and they lose 3 points in one games. games played do not reset but increase. 3 points for us, and 3 none for them equates to 6 points against top 6 contender. if we win 2 derbies, thats theoretically 12 points and not the visible and more obvious 6.

fulham or westham are less of a top 6 contender than rag, if we win against one of them, it is for 3 points because they are less likely to be within that top 6 contention.

winning against the rags this sunday equates to a 6 points, 3 for us for the win, and 3 points we take off from one game of the top 6 contender.

and if that is not good reason enough to want to win, hughes, city players et al all coming to the game wanting to win. so im not alone in this.

You have no sense of reality, pal. It would be great to come away from OT undefeated but let's not get carried away. We are not going to win the league this year and very much doubt that we will finish above Utd. A Top Four finish should be our primary aim. We need to beat Fulham because it gives us a chance to win a trophy (not points), while West Ham have often been a team we fail to beat but should do so. If we drop points at home to them, it might prove costly, so I stand by my earlier comments.

1. i didnt say we are going to win the league. i said top 6.
