For the first time, after fourteen years, i've forgotten. Is it a message I ask myself.

It was on Tuesday, and i knew it was coming up, bought the card last week, had the venue for a nice meal planned out in my head. Then Tuesday came, straight into work, busy in the evening taxi-ing kids about, and the day passed. In fact it had completely slipped my mind, till about an hour ago I got a text asking me if I'd remembered it was 14 years on Tuesday; she'd forgotten too.

Thing is, is this par for the course after this time, or is it the beginning of the end...?

Thats it mate. When your wife and kids are asleep tonight go and give them all a kiss on the forehead and ride off into the sunset. Its for the best

HaHa, yeah, bit too cloudy today for that option.

Tbh, just read Rosler's thread & puts this in perspective.
Really, I just wondered how often other posters forget their wedding anniversary!

-- Thu Aug 29, 2013 1:57 pm --

Ours was 18 years last Monday 19th August.

I remembered, we all went to York races ebor meeting

I took the kids as well and the missus moaned, would not mind she usually likes them being around with us.

Oh, you mean she likes the horses but not so keen on the kids?
Yeah, should a WA be a kids free zone? - being a mind-reader is an undervalued yet essential part of a successful marriage I have found.

No its the END of the BEGINNING, it can go either way from now on, mine went downhill and ended on 31 years, its up to you and your beloved from now on

I can't forget my anniversary because it is 11 September i.e. 9/11 albeit the actual wedding was years prior to the attack.

When the twin towers were hit my wife remarked that upon the date to which I replied (very wittily I think) "Who would have thought? 2 disasters on the same date."

How I laughed as I was escorted to A+E.
