Yeah £20 for the night do and £50 if your invited to the whole day is what we've always done.

Mine's next year so I'll be checking the cards from the guests who's wedding we've attended!!

Tough one that. Less than £20 and they could be forgiven for thinking you're a stingy git. But over £20 and you could look a little ostentatious (relatively speaking). I'm not sure - maybe £20 is about right?

But if you're on a budget you could forget the card - just pin the cash on the grooms jacket on the night.
