watched a few minutes of espanyol on sky sports last night, and i must admit i had forgotten about weiss.

i think he could be an ideal squad member next season, not as a regular but as another option to have. he has the attributes that we have been lacking recently (pace, width, ability to beat a man, can cross, can be an outlet to release against compact defences). i really think he could contribute to the squad.

he would also help us with the new rules coming in (FFP and the home grown quota).

i fear he will be sold for peanuts in the summer, only for mancini to bring in someone for more money who probably isn't as good (cerci??). i really hope he is given a chance as he is still young and has time to improve on his weaknesses (if mancini has anything about him he will try and coach him to improve).

i firmly believe he should not be sold and should be in the 25 next year, but I'm 99% sure this won't happen. shame really

He would probably want guaranteed football - cant see him coming back or indeed wanting to come back

Bit rash?

He's not really set the world on fire when he's been out on loan, had high hopes for him coming through the ranks, hasn't seened to be able to continue his progression.

theres something in there. i would like mancini to at least try and get the best out of him

Is that based on the few minutes of Sky you've watched over the weekend, or have you been following him more closely?

I can't say i've really followed his progress since he started bigging up Rangers after his loan spell there.

But he didn't seem to do much in that league and as you mentioned he's pretty much been forgotten about over there.

If there was something extra, you'd think he'd have shown it by now.

no its not based on what i saw last night, and i haven't seen that much of him while he's been in spain. but i saw a couple of runs that made me think we shouldn't give up on him. if he can't improve his decision making and improve on his consistency i think it could be beneficial to have him in the squad.

i just think that it would be a shame to give up on someone who has some talent and has been at the club for several years.

When he burst on the scene I really did think he was going to be one of the best wingers in the league but he hardly set the SPL on fire last year and thats like playing sunday league
