My guess is that it’s lovely and all, but it’s much more likely that he wanted to get the international games over and done with without having to answer a shit ton of questions on the matter.

Also players tend to sign between seasons, so it’s not exactly a coincidence that two would sign on the same date.

between 2018 and 2020 Pep played Aguero every minute he was fit, and he played Lewandowski every minute he was fit for 3 years.

Pep's philosophy is to play a striker all the time unless he hasn't got one good enough.
