Welcome Rodri - Signing Confirmed

Great to have Rodri aboard. Wonder if he gets the year of gelling to life at City, in England, with Pep, in Manchester, with cold rainy dark nights, with the tempo in the PL, and drinking ales.

The good thing with our squad is that he can play in the games where we will be under very little defensive pressure, gets loads of time on the ball and get used to the pace. For any big games early on we can just set up as we did last season

Rodri's friend Valentin Henarejo: “People were shocked when they saw Rodri, who was playing in the top flight but still living at the university residence. After the first few days of getting to know him, there was normality. He shared a space with everyone..."

"...He liked being with his friends and sitting on the sofa with everyone. But, of course, at the start it was strange seeing him playing table tennis or doing his washing.”

Studied Business at the Universidad de Castellon while playing for Villarreal , Remained in halls of residence while pursuing a football career , First car? Second-hand Opel Corsa

From all I have gleaned from the interviews and discussions, it seems being a great player will turn out to be the least of his accomplishments as a human being.

I smell special human being on this one :)

How Kompany-like....hope he will be a fans favourite too and display leadership and team Captain qualities.

Surprised he already can speak fairly well in English
He said in the press conference that he’s been to America many times to learn the language, that he felt it would be good for his future (not necessarily a football future)
