You know the answer Karen.
It's because he plays for us.
He does, but he's like a lot of handsome fellas, when he genuinely smiles he looks good, when he's forced to smile he looks a bit goofy.
I'm speaking from experience ;-)
It was lazy writing rather than anything sinister.
I think so,it's just strange he has put the 2 together when he is a DM,he ended a decent article with a negative
It's a must that they add a negative in there with us though, they wouldn't say that for other DM's and say he won't make a good start because he doesn't score
I think you are right about that, it can be taken that the blistering start part is linked to the part of the description of him that states as a fact he doesn't score many. Where I take it that it was intended as a preamble to the following part where it explains there is no rush for him to hit the ground running as Fernandinho can still perform at a good level and Rodri can be eased in.
Itt wasn’t a piece aimed at City fans who have been following this transfer and the players attributes for weeks. It was just to give the general fan a rough idea what sort of player he is and why we spent our record fee on him. Nothing more or less than that. Nothing to get worked up about.
As if we have a shortage of goal scorers.....
As the article goes on to say, so yes.
‘Then again, scoring is not something City as a squad have a particular issue with.’
Really don’t have an issue with that tbh, it’s just pointing out that he isn’t a goal scoring midfielder. When Kante signed a new contract with Chelsea, the second sentence was about his goal record despite that having nothing to do with his strengths.
The bbc is generally for casual sports fans more than knowledgeable ones.
Spot on BBC. We should get rid of Eddy while we are at it . He hasn’t scored a single goal as of today .
