Me too.

But Pep has to take the best group of individual players - by far - and make a team out of them. That might take some time. Can Silva and KDB play together? It didn't click last season. Hazard and KDB didn't work for Belgium. Pep does have a lot of work to do because the City team that ended last season was way off the pace. We have talent but we aren't a team anymore. Really glad that we are now going to start moving forward again. We've been in limbo for 2 seasons.
 
I cant wait either. I don't recall being as excited as this about a new manager ever. It's pep fuckin Guardiola for Christ's sake. If that doesn't get you going then football ain't your game. I can't wait to see him in the dugout, in the ground , in Manchester, in a city top......

I don't see any reason why Silva and KDB cannot play together. Our best performance of last season was against Newcastle where the pair of them, alongside Kun, ran the show.

The biggest issue we have had is seeing the decline of Toure and not improving our midfield. IMO we have not offered much in an attacking sense, whether that be running from deep or passing key balls from deep in midfield and at times have been very predictable or easy to defend against.

We have already added Ilkay and look to be going all out for Stones. Straight away that gives us even more passing options from deep. That's without taking into consideration Pep's positional play. I believe that we won't even recognise the side from last season.

the thing is, brother, you used only two words of positivity to begin your post and then went straight into negativity.

may i paraphrase you in a more fun way?

at last we have a manager who can turn the best group of individual players - by far - into a team.
time may be against him, but it seems unlikely he hasn't already been working out his plans to the nth degree, given his drive.
imagine how much guardiola will be buzzing about working out the best way to play silva and de bruyne together.
imagine the buzz around such talented players as they begin to understand his methods and soon forget being off the pace last season.
really glad that we are now going to start moving forward again. fuck the last 2 seasons, this is going to be ace.

I have rarely been as excited as this before as a city fan, but this feels right. Hopefully get all the players back without injury and kick on with the new season

The difference under Pep, is that the players will be coached and told what to do, how to play, what position to take at any stage of defence, transition and attack. How to press, when and where to pass, when to dribble. When to change shape. The difference will be incredible. The players that will succeed will 1) 'get it' 2) have the technical competence to implement it 3)want to work hard. I genuinely think most of them have all three.
