Well Done Gary Neville

No, not for donating your money for tonights testamonial to charity, but for being the biggest **** in football's history.
And the new face of sky next season, not looking forward to seeing that ugly mush in hd in front of me!

I have a feeling we're going to be quite surprised with RatFace next season, as in you may hear him actually giving praise to us??

We all expect the guy to come out and blurt loads of shit against any opposition that faces the rags.... and he probably will ;)

Its a disgrace - it really is. I cant believe more isnt being made of it

He must have £20m in the bank. And he plans to plough the proceedings from tonight into a supporters club style bar/hotel near Old Trafford under the guise of giving something back. Id love to see how long it would stay open if it wasnt turning a profit the dweeb.

Top flight Testamonials nowadays are wrong unless all the proceeds go to charity or a career has been cut short

He knows he will have to speak well of us and red dippers to stand any chance on Sky. People have short memories, If he says that Goater mugging him was the lowest point of his career, and he respects city fans blah blah blah, then people on here will hate him a lot less and heaven forbid, may even say they respect him as a pundit. Well i'll never warm to the **** regardless of what he says or does. Any matches i can't get to, i'll stream off a foreign channel.

Thought this straight away ...... its an investment on his part under the guise of "giving something back" ....... he will have shares in the "supporters club" company....... and will no doubt take a cut of any profits are made from the tourists who will be paying top dollar for entry and beverages.

Just out of interest ........ in the old days testimonials were tax free ..... is that still the case ? ........ if so the above stinks even more.

on the contrary, its much harder to remain at a club for 10 years these days, so credit were credit is due.

Its harder to stay somewhere getting £50k + a week? Its only harder for the player as he has to maintain a level of performance which if they do they get their just rewards.

A £3 or £4m payoff isnt required on top of their salary anymore. It was done when players earned comparable wages to the general public as their careers as such were so short. Now they earn enough for several generations of their family to live off in their short career and Neville is now in a no doubt 6 figure job with Sky. It stinks unless they do it for charity

No harder to stay at the top of his game for that long, in a successfull side, a player has deserved the testimonial, after all, arent we all for traditions? to be frank, what he does with the cash has nothing to do with me or you.
