Wembley Plans (LC Final V Aston Villa) Sun 1st March 2020

How many times have we played at the new Wembley Stadium including FA Cup semi finals, I have lost count
I am sure if my maths are correct this will be the 15th time i have gone with my lad (not including Spurs in the league). Not too bad really considering some of the comments you read on here!!!!!!!

As a consideration - definitely cheaper would be to stay in Borehamwood. There’s an Ibis, Prem Inn, Travelodge, holiday inn. The nearest station is about 20 mins walk or a short cab ride - about £4. Trains run to central London every 10/15 mins. Get to West Hampstead and then change stations across the road to the Jubilee line to Wembley Park.

The Railway pub gets very busy at West Hamstead if playing a southern based team. Never seen more than a couple of other fans in Borehamwood, and decent places to eat. The downside is the lower M6 and M1 these days, prefer the M40 so I am staying a £1.50 tube ride away on the A40.

Still can’t get over the fact that my kids had been to Wembley more times when they were aged 7 an 9 than I had in my 50’s. I will never get tired of these trips
I love going to Wembley as well. It is like a pilgrimage to a holy place as far as I am concerned, with Wembley being the cathedral where we all go to worship.
I t was a long time waiting those 30 years from 1981- 2011.
Another reason why I keep re-newing my season card,it guarantees that you will always get a ticket for any domestic cup final.

Just checked and it looks like the same price as last year. Train down is already circa £200 for me and my two kids, and even the cheapest tickets will cost me £110 (two adults plus one young adult) so that's over £300 before the tubes, food, drink and a cab to and from train station. Madness, think I might give this a miss, hard to justify spending so much on one game

where you travelling from?
