OK who was good in school at certain subjects and were you in any school team ?

I was good at History and Geography, hated everything else in fact the last lesson on a Friday afternoon was double chemistry think I only ever attended once in the 5th year .....had to get home and eat before going to the pub....I was a striker for the first 3 years on the high school football team then went in nets during the 4th and 5th year when it was realised I was a better keeper than striker .....I was opening batsman and captain of the school cricket team and played twice for Manchester schools at cricket ....I remember my scores too 15 in first game and 27 not out in my other one...we skittled Preston for 49 so I was 27 not out and we won by 9 wickets.

Cannot believe I left school nearly 34 years ago

Represented St Matthews in the National Athletic Finals in Bedford the other year, came 8th in the country at Shot Put. We were the only non grammar school there!

Also managed to get to the last 16 in the country in the English Schools Football, only to be beat by the eventual winners 3-2. Two years on the bounce we were beaten by the winners, first year it was Slippy G's old school - Cardinal Heenan (sp?). Didn't do badly in my exams either, mind.

Represented my school in gymnastics, cross country running and swimming
Managed 5 cse 1's and couple of O'levels, enough to get into nursing school so all good
