Wesley (Brazilian right back)

I’m all for this. It’s clear livramento won’t happen so need to looks elsewhere.

We have Lewis and Akanji that can rotate, I’m assuming they both stay.

Nunes is surely gone.

I think he’s a good player but he’s being played out of his natural position and I wouldn’t trust him to play it against Madrid for instance.

Pep has openly said he won’t play midfield as isn’t quick enough in the pockets which is pretty harsh but potentially the truth.

I always saw him as a potential Bernie replacement. That midfielder than can play high and wide and let the full back overlap and move inside. Unfortunately he never got the chance/never took it.

If he was to leave I think he’d do really well at his next club. Can’t fault him this season really, his mentality even when playing poor was great and always willing to put a shift in. Which without shitting on Phillips too much is something he could never do here. This season should reflect really well with city fans for him and if is to leave should be respected for the effort put in.

Even tho he has been absolutely castigated for his mistakes this year, he is still amongst our top assist makers and has a hell of a cross on him.

Can’t remember the game but Bernie kept trying to get him to cross and when he did we scored. Although he keeps going despite certain houndings he still lacks the final trigger. Not sure if confidence or the fact we are perfectionists in build up.

I just think its a confidence and there is a player in there somewhere.
 
Looks quite similar to Walker for me, but perhaps slightly better going forward. Already capped for Brazil at 21. Viana got it right with Khusanov, looks like it could be the same with this guy
