Yeah there should always be some adaptation but I tend to respect some teams more for realising what they’re good at and utilising it as opposed to trying to play something they can’t.Yes fair enough. But when Sam was manager of Blackburn rovers I went to a few games with a pal who had a season ticket and saw his tactics live. A regular tactic was for any free kick within their own half the keeper would hoof into the penalty box. Any throw in in the final third and long throw into box. WBA did this last night on the three occasions they got possession of the ball / set piece.
Its non league tactics played at prem league skill level.
