I recon Laporte hasn’t recovered from Covid fully. He looked legless v spuds. And wasn’t really tested v Marseille. This happens to some people who’ve had it eg lack of energy (long Covid) This is the only reason I can think of as he’s hardly got a reputation as a trouble maker or bad trainer

Dont ge whyt he need for both Gundogan and Rodri though...I know Gundogan shuld in this game be further forward and provide more BUT why not go with Bernardo there? I juut dont get Peps obsession with pairing two more defensive/less creative players in the centre of midfield.

The reliable Gundogan/Rodri partnership returns, as inevitable as night following day.Is there really any need when facing West Brom at home?. Suppose we have to watch their crazy goal threat.

Presuming stones isn’t being rested. Would appear sterling in on the right although couldn’t easily be Foden. Either way his comments about playing players in form doesn’t apply to sterling who has been woeful. Hopefully he’s on the right and can actually contribute to the match.

Would rather he just played Gundogan in the hole and get Bernardo in there as the link in midfield but overall it’s a strong side that should overwhelm wba quite easily.

I like the two attacking fullbacks, if they’re allowed to go forward they should offer us quite a bit more than usual going forward.

Torres is developing but we can't depend on him to produce very game the entire season. He is a good option to have but we also need to get sterling into form.
I prefer to keep quiet on Bernardo situation. Don't remember last time he came on the pitch this season and made an impact.
