West Brom sack Darren Moore

Bit crazy that, they won't be getting automatic promotion but still in with a great chance of the playoffs, must be something non results related.

I’m gutted for Moore. One of my modern day club hero’s & a genuinely decent human being. I desperately wanted him to succeed, but nothing surprises me about my club anymore.
This sacking just underlines what a desperate state of affairs we have at the Club with a Chinese billionaire owner who does not appear to actually have a pot to pi$$ in & has not invested a single penny in players since taking over.
We have an aged squad of limited quality & with results dropping off to reflect the actual form we have been in for much of the season, it was not a shock to me that he has been sacked.
I was actually at the Etihad with my Man City supporting missus today for the Watford game & Having seen the full time result against Ipswitch, I was genuinely checking my mobile during half time to see if Moore had been sacked.
We are in serious financial trouble off the pitch & are looking unlikely to get promoted this season.

I think people have unrealistic expectations of WBA this year. Totally agree with you pal that the squad is aging. Defo needs some investment and pace. Enjoyed the Leeds game last Friday, thought it was a good watch, but Leeds looked younger and sharper all over the pitch. I loved Gaz Baz but he shouldn’t be playing Cm anymore in a team aspiring to return to the prem.

Most baggie fans I know have been much more hopeful than expecting. However, its clear that the level of expectation at board/owner level is another thing entirely. I personally don’t expect us to get promoted this season thanks to not being able to keep clean sheets (I think we have kept 3 clean sheets all season) & this just puts too much pressure on the team to out score the opposition every game.
God knows what will happen to us next season assuming we are still in the championship, but I fear a financial crisis whatever division we are in as our owner is as tight as a ducks arse at 40 fathoms & will force us to sell players if we are in the championship & will not invest in some badly needed fresh quality players if we were by some miracle to get into the prem. Interesting & troubling times ahead methinks.

Gutted for the man. He always cane across as loyal and decent and I thought he was doing a good job.
