West Brom Vs City Post Match Thread

Silva was like an Eel tonight slippery as fook impossive to get hold of

I'm a defensive junkie and tonight we defended very well right across the four, Sagna was excellent tonight , very aware of the runs behind him, typical Pulis side hitting the long diagonals especially on top of Mangala - another one who had a very good game, we had to defend well tonight and that is underestimated despite the score line .Vinny back to his best, great interceptions, great tackles and a goal that he fucking enjoyed!

Kolorov is still as suspect as ever.

Very very good performance tonight , we have a plan as a club and it's a joy watching it unfold.

How good is David by the way? we have another 2-3 seasons of this guy, by far the best player in the premiership by a long long way.

Fuck me we are good !

one does not dominate toni pulis teams so easily and emphatically .
Toure seems to have lost considerable weight abd looked very fit
and kompany,s goal would sure do his confidence wonders
raheem,s time will come but early signs were good.

'pulis' he made a massive cock up not playing a five man mid,why he didn't start with five then revert to four is beyond me, he tried to take us on in his own back yard probably the bitterness in him from all the past defeats he has suffered got the better of him

Solid team performance, clean sheet, fitness levels good, no serious injury problems and we scored from a CORNER.

Not a chance in hell I'm searching for any negativity after that result,

Think I'll bypass the transfer forum for now. :)

The thought of how well Sterling and Silva will play after a couple of months of learning each others game, fuckinell, they can do everything (apart from finish 1v1's it seems).

COME ON CITY!!!!!!!!!!!

Great performance From every player tonight, every single player did their bit but Silva deserves to be singled out, he was on another planet.

Expecting a much tougher test on Sunday mind ..... Will know a lot more about the outlook for this season after that game

I loved the way those present at the Hawthorns smoothly transferred the 'Top of the League' song from Joleon to Raheem tonight.

A great bit of business, lads and lasses.

I said in the post match Stuttgart thread that that horror first half could be the most valuable half of the season if we learnt from it. On the evidence of this match we have done. Defensively we looked organised and picked the correct times to just clear our lines rather than always try to play ourselves out of trouble. With the ball we remain the best attacking team in the country by quite some distance. Play like this all season and we've nothing to fear domestically. Most encouragingly the team appears "up for it" this season.
