Always a top away day at Upton Park and once again what great set fans the Hammers lot are with great humour.

'Your just a shit Paulo Wanchope to Baloteli and 'Your just a shit Carlos Tevez' to Sergio did make me laugh.

The spirit of 1987 is still strong among the two sets of fans.

Not having a dig but curious why such a small % of west ham fans seem to wear colours. The train I was on was packed by the time it reached Upton Park but I didnt see a single West Ham shirt or scarf. On the way back there were just 3 or 4 in the carriage wearing shirts.

I was surprised how many "foreigners" support west ham
The tube before & after had plenty of Italians and Scandinavians with west ham scarves on
Might just be a London thing?
Glad I didn't need to get the 9pm train home from Euston, wouldn't have stood a chance if you stayed until the end

Which station did you travel back from? I followed the advice of one of the West Ham fans, went from East Ham which is a bit of a walk but no queues. Got back to Kings Cross at 8.15

Same here; bit of a walk to East Ham, got back to Euston for 20:20.

Top day out and quality Hammers fans too, went in the Queens pub near upton park tube and had a laugh in there, proper football pub !

We stayed till the end, walked (fast) to the east ham stop and managed to make the 8.20pm train back to manc.

You didn't need to trek to East Ham. I stayed to the final whistle and got straight on a tube from Upton Park to Euston Square. Got to Euston station for 8.05, in plenty of time for the 8.20.
