West Ham Next Week

I absolutley agree with most of the sentiments in this thread. West Ham are a proper club, with proper fans. They always try and play properley too.
Their academy, like our own has produced some great players, its just a real pity that those players have left to go to other clubs.
I also visited West Ham during the early 90s. I wa sliving darn sarf at the time, so went watching City (not CITEH Hammers fans) at WHU for a night game, I was spaotted by a couple of WHU fans on the tube, and safley escorted by them round to the City end of the ground. Great lads, like our own fans, who appreciatte supporting a proper club.
I hope we leather them Sunday, but hope they then go on to win the rest of their games and stay up. The prem will be a better league with them that it will without.
Up the Ammers....after Sunday anyway!

Wouldnt sing "going down" to West Ham. Hope they lose tomorrow and win their last few games after that

Out of all the london clubs west ham is the club I have a soft spot for I want us to beat them for obvious reasons but hope they can stay up.

Nice to see the City fans on here aren't as stupid as those red idiots who happen to live in the same city.

Was going down to Bolton on the train from Glasgow a few weeks ago and there was Man United fans on my train who just couldn't seem to grasp why I supported West Ham because in there words "they don't ever win anything" sums up every single one of those twats.

Looking pretty forward to my trip down to Manchester on Sunday never been to Manchester before, I have to agree with the West Ham fans who posted on here though always had a soft spot for City I like the attitude of there fans and the whole "the city is ours." thing they have going for them.

Plus I'm a huge fan of Oasis and have an appreciation towards Tevez. ;-)

Any decent pubs near the ground for away fans?

If you want a pub near the ground the Corner Shop is fine for away fans and only a couple of minutes walk from the stadium.

Where is The Corner Shop? Keep hearing about this Pub yet I've never been there.

There's not really an Away pub at City. I suppose town isn't too far away.

Here you go mate <a class="postlink" href="http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=the+corner+shop+pub+manchester&fb=1&gl=uk&hq=the+corner+shop+pub&hnear=Manchester,+Greater+Manchester&cid=18381335877646400179" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?hl= ... 7646400179</a>

Follow the road opposite the Mercedes garage it is literally a two minute walk. Decent crowd in there and never takes too long to get served.

Cheers. Never really ventured much further away than The Townley or Mary D's.

The Corner Shop! What a funny name for a Pub.

right then lads. We 've done our bit..now your turn.. we took 4 points off the filth this year ( actually, given our recent form, they'd say that was five points that were stolen from them!) so that your champions league spot is just about secure.

ive defended you against the the claim by lots that citteeeh fans arent what they were and they are all a bunch of johhny-coom - foooking -lateleys....

I think I cheered more at seeing toure's goal against the Rags than I did my own team's chance goal against the veeeeeela the other week...

We can promise that none of your players will have any of their cup final prospects dented by either yellow cards, injuries, or even breaking sweat...
\

Just a point, a measly fucking point....for old times sake...hey?

If that isnt enough..i ask you....next january....a crisp a blowy saturday afternoon.. the clouds gloomy and threatening atmosphere as your team strut out live on TV for your premiership game--- four points clear at the top of the league and through to the quarters of the champions league-- where would you rather be playing... the JJ fucking B?! Bloomfield fooiking road?! exactly....got to to be the Boleyn..... get on the phone to all of your pals at the club and tell them you're calling that favour in.!

cheers

My Mum was born in East Ham,been to there ground a few times great supporters, just hope Blackburn go down instead.

Generally, a good deal of respect shown between the supporters until they started with You're just a shit Man UN*t*d- then the flood gates opened.
