West Ham Thread - 2023/24

Where did all the extra West Ham fans come from? They were getting around 20,000 on average in the 90s.

PL bought in extra spike in support for alot of Prem clubs
think our fanbase is more spread out now especially Kent and Essex and just gradually grown - now having a 65k+ stadium means cheaper tickets, more familys, kids, tourists etc.

also because we're now European champions of course :)

Wasn't the 90s the aftermath of all the hooligans of the 80s?

Did people lose confidence in going to games?

Same happened with Chelsea I think

One of my family members told me a few years ago that some grounds in the 80's and early 90's were not ideal for taking your kids with you.

I was born in the early 90s so I am just going off what I have been told.

It's good to see. Shame the stadium is as bad as ours for atmosphere.
