Ah would ye stop acting like children, get over the Man U thing, it's got nothing to do with them. Lets stop making everything about them when this is much bigger then them.
You want to talk about Man U, ye are thinking of leniancy, tell me what would ye say the the punishment should be if it was Man U fans involved? I think the answer would be different from a few.
It shoudn't matter a danm who it inolves, there is a zero tollerance view on this behaviour and it should be inforced.
They should be punished and done so harshly. What happened was pathetic and unacceptable.
The only time I've ever experienced anything like that was at the English Irish match way back when in 95, and grant it I was only young, but I don't hesistate to say that I've never been so scared in my life on a pitch like that before.
And that was us being pretty much seperated from them, it was the English fighting within themselves, flying benches, seats..etc going over our heads.
And the very brave gardai at the time forming a line making sure that our side didn't retaliate, and tbh we weren't that interested in doing that, we've time for people like that or that behaviour at a match..everyone just wanted to get out of the place as fast as we could. So I could only imagine what the West Ham game was like, with people fighting back, and it being set up like that.
It's not right, it makes no sense to me. And it's wrong that their fans might be able to show up against Man U or whoever and act like nothing happened, what if the same idiots are there, and they aren't too pleased if Man U score a few goals on them..what then.
So what the punishment is, ye think they just punishment is that they play behind closed doors and a fine for the club?
It's not really punishment is it, they'll be well pleased they got away with it, maybe they will in the Premiership as well, and they couldn't give a damn about the fine, that doesn't have any impact on them.
Being kicked out of the comp is the only way I think that a point would be made. That we do not tolerate this sort of behaviour.
And it's infuriating then when the decent honest fans and the players themselves suffer because of these select idiots. But a point should be made.
We are not going back to the bad old days, no matter how much a select few groups would like us to.
If we let these guys away with this and not kick them out, they'll have won, and that doesn't sit well with me.
