Jack had plenty in the bank in December 2021? Interesting? Most wanted him sold, said he wasn’t good enough etcThey had plenty in the bank, Kalvin has zero, bordering on negative,
This is the run in, when we have historically gone long stretches without dropping points, especially at home, and we have only dropped four points at home all season, with the last being on New Year’s Eve.Get the points in the bag first, the attitude we "only" need 3 points is very dangerous.
Does the same not apply to us IF Arsenal win tonight? This is the run in, when we have historically gone long stretches without dropping points, especially at home, and we have only dropped four points at home all season, with the last being on New Year’s Eve.
Like I said, they would be insane to target getting the likely only 3 points they need to stay up against us at the expense of their squad fitness for their other matches.
Again, the difference is they are playing the team in first that rarely ever drops points at home and even less frequently during title run-ins.Does the same not apply to us IF Arsenal win tonight?
Two wins in the next 2 games and we are nearly there, but if we were to drop any points in these two games , squeaky bum time.
The changes at Leeds could make Saturday interesting

I am going off what I see and I see him all over the pitch but I am an FOC so am probably wrong pal!I always assumed he was quite mid-table in the team for distance covered and sprints, and his game isn't based on being a pacy box to box. But I'm not basing that on stats so if I'm wrong I'm wrong.
Especially the poster you're replying to :)Jack had plenty in the bank in December 2021? Interesting? Most wanted him sold, said he wasn’t good enough etc
On the contrary Kaz, get the popcorn out & watch Arsenal, their game’s & results are as important as our own when you’re in a two horse race, they win oh well, they draw good result, they lose and it’s almost overWish this was tonite, i am itching to get these two games this week won , i might be able to breathe then
Don't they play the 2 legged conference league ties in the same weeks as we play Real MadridDoubt it is true , they need to have a go and anything is possible , we have dropped points to worse teams than them
Moyes is always cautious. He will pack the defence and midfield and hope to catch us on the break or at a set piece. This is how all his teams have played. It is usually a recipe which achieves mid-table sometimes pushing for the top eight but they haven't performed as well this year, perhaps because of all the games in Europe. Personally I think they can pose us problems so we will have to be careful.Again, the difference is they are playing the team in first that rarely ever drops points at home and even less frequently during title run-ins.
It makes no sense to go all out to get three points against the best team in the country at the expense of their squad fitness for their European fixtures and remaining much more manageable league games.
We are talking about what is best for West Ham. This is where good strategy keeps you up or poor strategy takes you down (and out of Europe), and going all-in for three points at the Etihad in this scenario, given all of the variables, is just batshite crazy strategy.
Canesten not workingWish this was tonite, i am itching to get these two games this week won , i might be able to breathe then
Everton 'cough cough'They're in 15th place for a reason and on our worst day we beat these at home.
Relax everyone.
Bowen & Antonio are a threat (if they play) but compared to last seasons away tie, we don't have a one legged Laporte & Zinchenko on the left side of defenceMoyes is always cautious. Agreed. But that is a completely different discussion to the one I was having with @Keeper!. We are talking about whether Moyes would target getting the three points they likely still need to make sure they stay up against City.Moyes is always cautious. Our worst game of the season by a mile for me.Everton 'cough cough'
So did the playersOur worst game of the season by a mile for me.
Thought we would turn up and stroll it.
City. Then utd & Brentford in between the ucl semi-final ties, could be a huge risk going into the last 2 games needing 3 points if they target the semis & get beatAgreed. And I maintain that not even Moyes is stupid enough to go all out against us, potentially comprising his squad’s fitness in the much more manageable (and important) games to come.
He doesn't have to go all out against us, he'll just stick everyone behind the ball, and hope for a lucky breakAgreed.
