So if Tevez is now happy to stay, but I can't see him signing a new contract, and let's believe for a second the Silva rumours that he won't be renewing either... What happens if our current crop of players keep winning things in the next two years and get to the ends of their contracts, think 'we've won what we came to city to win', and then want to leave! :/

I feel like some would stay and want to create a dynasty (Joe, Micah, Vinny, Gareth, Yaya?!) while some I fear would go (Sergio, Carlos, Dave) and if they just play out their contracts then were going to lose a fair amount of money and would also then have to pay for replacements. Is this a worry? If they don't sign new contracts, should we start looki g at offloading? Tevez now and Silva next year? (if replacements are available).

I hope you're right, because that would mean we'd win everything, including champions league in the next couple of years.

It'll take a little longer than that, just retaining this title is a challenge enough for the squad right now I think.

If we win everything and players leave, we're going to attract the next generation of quality ready to prove themselves in the same way and the rollercoaster starts over.

so is the question would you take winning the cl if it lead to silva/toure/aguero leaving?

absolutely

The future is bright for City, what with the training complex and everything. But City has a unique atmosphere compared to going to other clubs stadiums. You always feel like you are going to one massive party at home games.

City are now starting to get massive media attention and interest in Asia and America. Plus the club is stinking rich. Last season v QPR was one of the best adverts for the premier league ever.

Its gonna attract more great players don't worry!

If and when these players leave , we won't be replacing them with the Lee Bradbury's and Ged Brannan's of this world .... so don't worry , be happy : )

Nonsense !

Players come and go its simple as!

They will be here for a long haul and all this rumour shite doesn't help. It's a "Rumour" simple as that! There was VERY strong "rumours" that bobby is going to manage Russia and how did that turn out?

Just take it one day at a time, if they go we will replace them, plenty more players out there. But as I said lets just see what happens first of all. Keep them happy and they won't want to go anywhere else?

Where else could they go and get paid as much and compete for trophies every season?

If we win everything it would be rather easy to find replacements I guess..Players and managers are very temporary in a clubs life.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

Yeah; I'd spotted them as well. Hmm.
